NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICING AND PREVENTION UPDATE Monthly Community Update from Sgt Dylan Davies PS 1070 I hope this message finds you well. As we move towards August, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving. 🔍 Local Priorities Our current focus areas include: A range of Anti-social Behaviour incidents have been reported across the area. Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Teams will be carrying out high-visibility patrols and working with partner agencies to provide reassurance and address these concerns.Road Safety - Neighbourhood and Roads Policing officers will be addressing concerns raised by community members in relation to speeding vehicles.Concerns have been raised about the use of E-Scooters and scrambler bikes in the area. Officers will be focusing on enforcement and engagement to address the issue.We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise. 🤝 Partnership Working We’ve been working closely with: Dyfed-Powys Police Cyber Fraud Team in presenting input at the Black Mountain Centre in Brynaman regarding online Fraud Crime Prevention.RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) regarding water safety. Housing associations to tackle tenancy-related concerns. Following complaints of anti-social behaviour the Magistrates Court have issued ‘Closure Orders’ at two properties in Betws.These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs. 🧑🤝🧑 Community Involvement Thank you to everyone who’s taken attended and contributed in our community engagement events. We’d love to see you there—these events are a great way to connect and share ideas. 🗞️ Round-Up from Various Wards Here’s a snapshot of some key updates across our patch during July: SABB (Steal And Be Banned) Scheme relaunched with local shops and stores.DP Connects visits have been conducted to get more members signed up.Following complaints raised by members of the public via DP Connects of off-road bikers causing Anti-social behaviour and road safety issues up the Amman Valley between Dyfed-Powys and South Wales Police, a joint operation was conducted on Sunday 12th July between Ammanford NPPT and NPPT officers from SWP. In total 16 vehicles were seized during the operation (1 Suron, 3 E-bikes and 12 E-Scooters). 🤝🏼 Thank you for working with us to keep Ammanford safe and informed. See you out and about!
